Pan-Am, Chi O's are Always First Class

We had an amazing Recruitment Week! We got 15 incredible new baby hooters on Saturday! Our Bid Day theme was Pan-Am, Chi O's are Always First Class. It was such a fun and exciting day to welcome these girls to our chapter.

Half-way Finished!

We are half-way finished with formal Recruitment! Philanthropy went well on Tuesday night and Skit Preview went well last night! We are so so excited for Skit Night, and finally being able to show the freshmen our skit! Tomorrow is Pref Night (maybe my favorite night), and it will be a success, I'm sure!  This has been a very busy and hectic week for us all, and we anxiously await Bid Day on Saturday when we meet the new Chi Delta's. I'll be posting a picture Saturday or Sunday of PC '12!

Recruitment Begins!

Informal recruitment continues today!  This afternoon is Open House, the first Recruitment event for 2012.  We have had so much fun this week meeting the new freshmen, and we are sure to have a great pledge class this year!  With just one more week left until formal rush, we are getting very excited and anxious!

Successful Workshop

While it may have seemed like a very long weekend, Rush Workshop flew by!  We put in long hours of hard work to make our Recruitment week perfect!  We still have a few things to work on the first week or so of school, but by the time Recruitment week roles around we will have the loudest dog pile on Sorority Row at Millsaps.  Our Recruitment Chair has done a great job with everything thus far, and the only thing we are waiting on now is for freshmen to arrive on the Millsaps Campus!

Workshop Weekend!

While this summer has been fun, I think we are all getting excited for workshop this weekend! I am very excited to be back on campus with my Chi O sisters. I am also looking forward to seeing the renovations provided by House Corp. It will be a busy, fun-filled weekend as we prepare for Recruitment that I will tell you more about later!

Our Girls Abroad!

This summer Chi Delta girls have been travelling all over! From Europe to Costa Rica they are having a blast! And let's not forget in a couple of short weeks our Summer Rush Workshop will take place! I can't wait to reunite with all of my Chi Delta sisters before school starts!

Convention!!!

Last week Katie, our President, and Meg, Recruitment Chair, travelled to National Convention.  From what I have heard they had a great week and learned about lots of ways to improve our chapter!  With that being said, Chi Delta was one of 16 chapters selected to receive the "Award of Excellence," truly an honor.  Also, we would like to give a BIG thank you to everyone who donated to House Corp to update the interior of the lodge!!! With only a few weeks left until Recruitment, we can't wait to have a new and improved lodge!

Summer Update

With the end of the school year we all got very busy with exams, and I forgot to post on the blog! Back in March we had a great Spring Rush Workshop and got all of the freshman acquainted with how things will work in the fall.  Several of the Chi Delta members have been helping with the Challenge program for incoming freshman, we have a few studying abroad at different times this summer, and, as usual, everyone is having a great summer!  We can't wait to get the fall semester started, and summer is going by quickly (about a month and a half until Summer Workshop!).  Have a great summer!

Hi ladies!

Sorry it's been awhile since the last update about Chi Delta! We have had a busy month and a half!  The Walk for a Wish went so well and raised over $10,000!! We are so excited to be able to grant some wishes for Make a Wish this year.  After spring break, we had Spring Rush Workshop, which was a very productive weekend for both New Members and upper classmen.  We can't wait to begin recruitment in the fall for Chi Delta!

Walk for a Wish

It is that time of year again for Chi Delta! Our annual 5k and 1 mile fun run will be held on February 25, 2012.  Registration begins at 7:30 am and the race itself will begin at promptly 8:00 am.  It costs $15 to participate if you register before the day of the race and $20 the day of the race.  This includes a t-shirt!  The race will begin at the North Entrance of Millsaps College and proceed down Riverside Drive.

Even if you can't run or walk in the race, donations are greatly appreciated.  Remember it benefits an awesome organization, Make-A-Wish.  Contact us at xo.walk.for.a.wish@gmail.com with any questions!

Also, last week Swap Season officially started with our Tacky Wedding Swap at Lambda Chi Alpha.  We all had a blast, especially our bride, Maggie Floyd!  We are looking forward to our next swap to celebrate Mardi Gras with SAE!
